Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter softened
 - 3/4 cup cane sugar granulated is good, I typically buy course cane sugar and I love the texture it gives the cookies
 - 1 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
 - 2 tsp vanilla extract I honestly don’t always measure
 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
 - 2 eggs
 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
 - chocolate chips I measure these with my heart

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
 - In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
 - Using a mixer (if possible), cream together the butter, cane sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
 - Beat in eggs and vanilla
 - Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
 - Add chocolate chips and mix well so they evenly distributed throughout the dough.
 - Roll the dough into balls, however big or small you want your cookies.
 - Bake in preheated oven for approximately 10-14 minutes. Take them out when they are just barely starting to turn brown. I take them out before they look done and let them sit to give a gooey, chewy cookie!
